What are EuroClio Thematic seminars?
EuroClio Thematic Seminars are an opportunity for quality professional development for history and citizenship educators from across and beyond Europe. Each of the seminars focuses on a specific aspect of history education or on a specific topic, such as Napoleon and his time, the History of the European Union, or Revolutions in Contemporary History. Each thematic seminar lasts three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), and consists of active workshops, interactive sessions, panel discussions, and cultural visits.
Usually, EuroClio Thematic Seminars take place in autumn, often in November. They are hosted in different countries each year, guaranteeing geographical balance throughout Europe and beyond. Last year, the EuroClio Thematic Seminar will take place in Brussels, Belgium, from 22 to 24 November 2019.
COVID-19 UPDATE: Due to the global pandemic, the 2020 Thematic Seminar has been cancelled. Please see our online course offerings for now, which include webinars and an online course on online teaching.
