From February 1st to February 28th, the North South Centre (NSC) and The Network University (TNU) will be offering an e-learning course on the Human Rights dimension of Global Education. The deadline for submitting an application is January 24th, 2016.
The course will provide an introduction to human rights education and explore the issues in both theory and practice. Composed of four modules, it aims to create a platform for developing new understandings and way for promoting human rights education. This Global Education online learning course was designed to target those working with human rights education. It requires an active and collaborative participation and will take at least 10 hours per a week.
To apply, one must complete an online application form and a questionnaire. It is noted that only complete applications will be considered and the selected participants will be informed on January 26th, 2016.
NSC and TNU will also be offering an online course on Global Education: The Intercultural Dimension and Global Education: The Citizenship Dimension, which will take place later in the year.
From 26-28 November, the North-South Centre of the Council of Europe organizes its third European Congress on Global Education. Centering on ‘ Education for a Global Citizenship. Unity in Diversity’, the congress aims to bring together over 200 stakeholders in global education (GE), from formal and non-formal education sectors, civil society platforms, governments, parliaments, local and regional authorities and intergovernmental organisations from Europe and beyond. The trips are open to all nationalities of K-12 and university educators, administrators, retired educators, as well as educators’ guests. If you are interested in getting the discount of 5% for a trip, the deadline for registration is October 1st 2015.
The deadline for a registration with a regular price is June 1st 2016 but please keep in mind that the space is limited and many of the programs are going to be full by the deadline.
