The Institute of National Remembrance has opened the application process for this years’ “Poland in the Heart of European History” professional training for history teachers and educators. The training shows Polish modern history in a wider European perspective, revealing and straightening out complex processes of 20th century history. It also teaches new educational techniques and shows ways in which we can get through to new generations with the – often difficult and brutal – story of the past.

This year the training will take place in the Jabłonna Palace, 25 kilometers from the Polish capital, from 16 to 26 July. The participants will have the opportunity to listen to lectures, take part in workshops and visit Polish educational institutions.

All costs are covered by the Institute of National Remembrance, with travel expenses up to € 300. Interested teachers and educators can apply online at www.pamiec.pl/pheh. The deadline for applications is 28 May 2017.
