VGN-HTE Conference

The Conference is the result of a partnership between EUROCLIO- the European Standing Conference of History Teachers’ Associations, the VGN- the Dutch History Teacher’s Association and the HTEN - the History Teacher Education Network in the UK. It was organised in co-operation with the Graduate School of Teaching and Learning, University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
The very intensive programme of the two-day seminar offered: • Lectures, round table meetings and poster sessions on the professional development of history teacher educators, history trainees/new teachers and their mentors in schools; • Discussion on the effects of research on teaching history in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands and how researchers and teachers can contribute to each other's work.
The 40 participants came from 7 countries: the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Belgium, Bulgaria, Malta, Turkey and the USA. |
