The 22nd School History Project Annual Conference is taking place at Leeds Trinity University College, United Kingdom, on July 2-4 2010. The intensive Conference Programme includes 5 plenary sessions, 28 workshops, sessions from each of the Awarding Bodies and an extensive resources exhibition, the SHP Conference brings together the sharpest thinking and best practice in school history.Plenary sessions focus on the big issues in history education as well as providing practical strategies for effective teaching and learning. This year’s plenary speakers include the Hampshire History Team on historical enquiry, Paul Salmons on teaching about the Holocaust, Nicola Sheldon and Jenny Keating on the History in Education Project, Ian Dawson on teaching the English Civil War and Christine Counsell on learning about change and continuity. EUROCLIO Project Manager, Jonathan Even-Zohar is invited to lead a session together with colleagues from Turkey and Georgia on how British teachers can get involved in EUROCLIO activities and contribute to its work.
