EUROCLIO encourages Associations and Organisations of Secondary History and Civics Educators to become a member in order to:
  • Network with Associations in 46 other countries in Europe, representing a total of 40.000 History Educators
  • Explore the Possibilities to collaborate in transnational, regional and international development projects, for instance to develop New Educational Material.
  • Join and Influence the Democratic organization that is EUROCLIO- the European Association of History Educators.

Individual History Educators:

Secondary Education plays a crucial role in the creation and further development of appreciation and respect of diverse traditions and cultures among the students, and in their societies. EUROCLIO believes that young people increasingly need the awareness of multiple historical perspectives. Therefore EUROCLIO encourages Educators to participate in trainings and seminars, interacting with each other to broaden their methodic knowledge and to address issues related to in-class experiences.

College and University:

Through several organized conferences and seminars, we give university scholars opportunity to exchange ideas and launch broad discussions on the most recent topics concerning the History Education in Europe. Through publicized bulletin and newsletters scholars have broad, complex, thematic overview of the global scene of History Education. The benefit of the EUROCLIO Bulletin is that members are encouraged to take an active part in common activities. Through the membership professors could develop a strong professional network that enriches their professional life.

Independent Scholars:

For individual historians that are not in a current official position at any education institutions, our organization is an invaluable source. Through our conferences, seminars and workshops, scholars can stay connected with other history educators and keep up with the current issues concerning History Education in Europe.
