European Association of History Educators

An important steps towards the realization of Historiana.eu (EUROCLIO’s initiative to develop an online, interactive multimedia European history and heritage tool offering multiple perspectives) has been made as the editors and contributors for the first theme ‘People on the Move’ met in real life in Berlin, Germany from January 28-31 2010. The team, consisting of experts from 12 countries from Europe and beyond discussed the navigational structure of the website to be, what kind of sources should be used and what the learning outcomes should be. The editing team will meet again in the Netherlands on May 1-2 to review the process and give feedback to the input they got from the contributors. In the meantime, the project coordinators will register international training events related to the Historiana initiative to offer new opportunity educators in the EUROCLIO network to be involved in the development of this pioneering initiative.
