Who is responsible for the digital educational material? What is the difference or connection between audience development and learner engagement? Do we need to agree a framework for digital learning? These were some of the questions that were discussed during the ‘New Learning Strategies: Learning in the Digital Strategies of Heritage Organisations’ panel in which Steven Stegers (EUROCLIO) participated with Wendy Earle (British Film Institute), Shelley Mannion (British Museum), Rhiannon Looseley (Museum of London) and Claire Ross (University College London) during the bi-annual DISH conference on Digital Strategies in Heritage. During the panel discussion Steven shed light on the needs of educators based on his experience in coordinating the Historiana programme and results of research done amongst educators from more than 20 countries on online learning.
