National Integration and Tolerance in Georgia

Within the EUROCLIO/MATRA Project "Tolerance Building through History Education" EUROCLIO and the Georgian HTA support all initiatives on the field of integration and tolerance in Georgia.

Diversity.ge stresses out the importance of tolerance in Georgia and functions as a tri-lingual database, which covers a wide range of issues related to all ethnic minorities in Georgia. The main aim of Diversity.Ge is to promote the benefits of diversity via increasing awareness on the history and culture of the ethnic minorities and tries to engage all citizens in mutual understanding of the integration processes related to the ethnic minorities.

Launched in 2006, National Integration and Tolerance in Georgia program is supported by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), and implemented by UN Association of Georgia (UNAG). Among the aims of the program is to strengthen integration processes and tolerance in Georgia via media programming, grant making and activities which are focused on creating and establishing required and promising conditions for the successful integration of the diverse citizens of Georgia.
