The Third Regional Seminar within the EUROCLIO/Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs/OSI Programme “History that Connects. How to teach sensitive and controversial issues in the countries of Former Yugoslavia” will be held in Becici, Montenegro on 25-27 November 2011.

As the date of the event approaches, EUROCLIO’s efforts to increase international awareness for the programme seem to be paying off. At the moment, 45 participants from 13 different countries will be participating in the event. Representatives from all Former Yugoslavia, as well as contributors from Finland and Switzerland will actively engage during the seminar. Furthermore, observers from Norway, Turkey and Albania have confirmed their attendance during the meeting.

The seminar is co-organised with the History Teachers Association of Montenegro (HIPMONT), and will focus on the peer-review of the drafts of 13 modules on selected sensitive and controversial history of 1900-1945, discussing and sharing the preparation of lesson materials for inclusion in the Historiana framework, as well as sharing and reflection on expertise involving the learning and teaching of sensitive and controversial issues.
