Between 6-8 October 2011, 35 educators from various European countries, representing Waldorf Steiner schools, met at Emerson College, near London. Approximately fifteen schools were represented from eight different European countries as well as representatives from the European Council for Steiner Waldorf Education (like EUROCLIO, a fellow EUCIS-LLL Platform Member), the Steiner Waldorf Schools Fellowship and the London Waldorf Trust. The meeting aimed to develop a pilot programme, an assessment rationale and to strengthen links with other pedagogical initiatives, like EUROCLIO and Dialogic Learning. EUROCLIO Senior Manager Jonathan Even-Zohar presented several approaches to outcome-based history education, as well EUROCLIO’s experience in the field. The presentation was also well received and there is an agreement to collaborate on the development of a history unit for the EWD.
