The new EUROCLIO project namely “Shared Cultures-Historical Imprints” is taking a start from the 1st of December 2011. The project is generously supported by European Union’s Eastern Partnership Culture programme (European Neighbourhood Partnership Instrument) for the duration of 3 years. It involves partner associations from the Eastern Partnership Countries such as Armenia (ACGRC), Azerbaijan (PUAH), Georgia (GAHE), Moldova (ANTIM) and Ukraine (NOVA DOBA) with the involvement of additional beneficiary countries as Russia, Belarus, Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria. 

 
The 3 year action plan of the project covers different work packages which will mainly target the implementation of wide project objectives with the specific focus on strengthening the capacities of semi-public actors involved in the activities and sustainability of independent history and heritage educators associations, awareness raising and cultural education that enhance democracy and intercultural dialogue, creating adequate conditions for the development of educational activities in an international environment promoting cultural tolerance, strengthening  regional links and dialogue within the region of the Eastern partnership, and between the EU and countries of the Eastern partnership in respect to cultural network and actors. The project target group is both formal and informal educators in the field of culture from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, including history and heritage educators and their associations. 
 
 
The first kick off meeting of the project will be held in Kiev, Ukraine on 27-28 January 2012. The meeting will be attended by the representatives of project partner associations and EUROCLIO project coordinating team. The kick-off meeting is aimed at bringing all project partners together, introducing them to one another as well as to EUROCLIO mission and activities widely, and discuss clearly the planned activities and tasks for the first year of the project.
