Turkish Association for Social Studies Educators: “New Trends and Issues in Citizenship and Democracy Education in a Changing World”

Dear social studies educators;    

We, Marmara University Ataturk Education Faculty and Association for Social Studies Educators, are organizing an international symposium titled as ‘International Symposium on Social Studies Education: New Trends and Issues in Citizenship and Democracy Education in a Changing World’. The aim of the symposium is to discuss some issues surrounding social studies and citizenship education. They will be discussed in the context of new national/global social, cultural, political and economic 

theoretical approaches and practical applications in the area. Thus, we are hoping to build on our vision of creating a world where justice and democracy are upheld, and 

there is peace and prosperity.
